Producer Mike Preger

1. Thinking make a movie for each book separately or are thinking about the combination of any of them?

Yes, all the above. Ideally, each book is a movie. But as the first movie is so important to the success and continuation of this series, we feel that the first book (VA) may possibly require a combination with the book two to really settle and take over the movie-going audience.

2. Many authors have recently been involved / on the set during production as a consultant. Have you thought about having to participate Richelle Mead in the film?

As busy as our favorite author is, I love the participation of Richelle and thoughts on everything. But at the end of the day, a filmmaker (director) is creatively "production set" in their domain, so you just have to wait and see.

3. We can not name the studios, but we can say the biggest problems faced with studies that have gone into the project? In addition, research has moved away and why?

The biggest problems are the most obvious. Saturation market, also derived, basically everything we had anticipated from the outset. But then I have been launching projects to Hollywood for 20 years, which is always the excuse until the study is correct, timely and appropriate treatment. Although I would not have been completely isolated from any agreement, we have undertaken not, therefore, there are 3 different proposals. The reasons are varied, ranging from economic, time, levels of commitment - but despite a handful of rejections so far, we have found a great interest as well. We have further meetings in coming weeks pending in Hollywood, so anything can go forward.

4. What if you can not find a studio?

This leads to a number of other opportunities. A separate agreement to produce the film before a sale is always possible. Among the proposals mentioned above, one of those opportunities was one of them. Beyond that there are still exploring possibilities for a "made for cable" or mini series or even a television series True Blood and The Vampire Diaries.

5. As a fan of the series, which is what most excited to see the books?

What has fascinated me from the beginning has been the character of Rose. I like his tenacity, his passion, his tenacity and his faults. I like the many facets of his personality that are revealed through their various relationships with others. She is not a "cardboard cutout" like so many other female main characters. While people tend to characterize surface this series as "just another vampire story I have never seen that. There are plenty of "humanity" in this story. Issues that everyone can relate. Yes, it has vampires, along with a stage against a mythical world inhabited by vampires - but not really about vampires, is about people, emotions, challenges, life and death decisions,
passion and jealousy, and face your fears.

6. Also, what do you think will be most difficult or the scene of the work to be replicated in real life?

Nothing is too difficult to create, budget and program are realistic and are in place. This speaks of the "supply", which is what we are fighting at this time. From the battle in the caves of Montana (where we know what "it" happens), the Russian countryside and villages, each chapter of this series brings its own screen time difficult and unique. Ultimately, collaboration is a screenwriter and film director, what elements of the story can, and is expected on the screen.

7. As you know, most VA takes place at night. Do you think this is going to be a problem?

With today's technology, the concerns of the past, shooting at night or day to night, and no problems or cost once did. Once again, therefore is based on the filmmaker's vision, but I do not consider this a major problem with regard to production.

8. Have you started looking for any writers?

We talked about the writers, and I've had some great discussions with the writers as well. Once again, therefore is based on how much we can achieve, what place we are creating, and what scale of production of a study by the intention to commit, before we can finalize any relationship in this field.

9. Are you interested in making a movie Bloodlines?

aftermath of Vampire Academy, we have reserved the first / last negotiations Bloodline series. Vampire Academy Once this set, we will continue working with Richelle to clarify that. But yes, we are excitedly awaiting the debut of Bloodlines in August.

10. Although VA is a "young adult book, which is much violence and sex. What qualifications do you think the film will have?

Once the site has been established, ie, film, television, cable television, a target is decided by a studio or network and equipment will adapt to that market. We now have a wide appeal, especially women from 13 to 35 already established in the book. We hope to expand this resource to include a llamamienton men, and what you want as much of an "advantage" for the material in question as the market will support. Violence and sex can drive a lot of different ways cinematically, so I'm not too worried at this time. Again, in the hands of the filmmaker, everyone can work in a number of creative ways.
