Synopsis:
Purple Daze is a novel for young adults in the suburbs of Los Angeles in 1965. Six high school students share their experiences and feelings in free verse and traditional poems interconnected about war, feminism, riots, love, rock 'n' roll, racism, school, and friendship. Although there have been recently published novels, no changing and volatile explores this novel, 1960 in United States - a time when young people have made a cultural and political revolution. With issues such as costs and casualties of war, the consequences of sex, and the complex relationships among adolescents, their partners and their parents, this story is still as relevant today as it was 45 years ago.
